Seydou Keita has been the African player making the news in recent weeks and the Barcelona midfielder was at it again this past weekend when he gave Barca the lead in their fixture against Osasuna. Alongside Xavi, Iniesta and Messi, Keita has become a pivotal player in the Barca squad and they will need him to be at his best if Barca are to hold onto their La Liga Championship this season.

Other African players performing well this week include Didier Drogba, who was amongst the goals for Chelsea again and Nigerian striker Obafami Martins who scored twice for German Champions Wolfsburg in their 3-3 draw with Mainz. With Uefa Champions League fixtures taking place this week expect Africa’s best to be making headlines all across Europe...
