Arsenal's in-form Ivorian midfielder Emmanuel Eboue says he's now able to shut out the abuse from fans.

Eboue made some mistakes at the start of the season which generated a lot of abuse from fans of the English side.

But he turned the corner in recent weeks and scored twice over the weekend, attracting apologies from a section of the fans.

"Arsene Wenger told me that if I wanted to be a big player I had to forget about it, think about the next game and show the fans I am a good player," said the Arsenal midfielder.

"I also received a lot of emails from fans. They said sorry because they didn’t want to do that. That was very important."
