Morocco bounced back from a World Cup setback at the weekend to beat Angola 2-0 in a friendly international in Lisbon, Portugal on Wednesday.

English-based striker Adel Taarabt got his first international goal inside the opening 10 minutes, and then contributed in the build up to the second goal, scored in the 52 minute from Maroune Chamakh.

Morocco suffered a surprising 2-1 home defeat to Gabon on Saturday at the start of the last phase of African qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup finals.

Angola, who host next year’s MTN Africa Cup of Nations finals, went down to a third successive defeat this year.
