Romao To Coach Morocco

Jose Romao has taken over from former Brazilian World Cup defender Carlos Mozer as coach of Morocco champions Raja Casablanca, a club statement said.

Mozer was dismissed after just five matches of the new season in which Raja have won twice and drawn the other three. The club were just four points off the leaders in the league standings.

Romao previously coached Raja’s arch rivals Wydad Casablanca to two Morocco championships. He has also worked in Qatar and was a former national youth coach in his native Portugal.
